Stanaćev and Granados not only thought about views from the cabin, they also considered views of the cabin. With that in mind, they designed a green roof planted with creeping redflush that harmonizes with surrounding cypress forest.

The architects designed all the furnishings in the space, including this granite table and wooden benches. The materials were all cut and assembled on-site by the same team that built the cabin.

A series of plywood panels separate the large common area of the cabin from the smaller private areas. They slide open to reveal the sleeping area, outfitted with custom bunk beds.

The cabin is designed as a place for Andrés’s teenage children to host barbecues and get-togethers. To make the most of the site’s impressive views, Stanaćev Granados designed a 600-square-foot cube with simple lines. The cabin, nicknamed Pabellón Galeo, is made of local wood (mostly pine) and glass.

In addition to commissioning custom cabinetry for the kitchenette, Minarc designed its sink (dubbed RUBBISH) to have a basin made from recycled rubber.

The raised sleeping platform conceals cubbies on either side, as well as storage accessible from the adjacent bathroom.

The kitchen comes fully equipped with an induction stove, oven, and refrigerator from Bosch and a dishwasher from Klarstein. The countertop can come in either a light or dark finish.

The spruce cladding along the interior can be left as is or painted white, and the wood floor boards can be darkened or replaced with tile: both at no extra cost. LOVT also offers to install pleated blinds on the windows for $1500–$4300.

Apart from housing storage, the daybed built into the end of the microhouse can be pulled out to accommodate two more guests for the night.
